Native Plants
Before settlers came from Europe, what uses did the First Nations people make of the plants native to our area? How did their methods of plant management show respect for the environment and what lessons can we learn to help us today?
|
Hands-On Habitat
Just
as its name implies, this program is totally hands-on. It is also our
most flexible program and can be adapted for different aspects of the
curriculum. Children can get their hands dirty investigating two
habitats within the Bog-Forest and the structural and behavioural
adaptations of the communities to those environments. What lessons can
be learnt from the changes already visible within the habitat, to help
us cope with the environmental challenges ahead?
